2006-01-22 [Kaimee]: (They're better >.>) I have all these pushy ideas about who should/shouldn't use each program. Corel is great to learn the basics on (and great for everything else anyway! :P) and when you get up to layers and really good colouring opencanvas is better for that, and photoshop should only be used by those profficient in the other programs, so that you don't learn to rely on the quick effects and brushes etc. Of course, my parents used to call me their little facist, so don't listen to what I'm rubbishing on about if you enjoy photoshop :P

2006-01-22 [Mister Saint]: Actually, I kind of agree with ya there Kaimee. I used photoshop for a long while, and you could always tell because I leaned on glowy effects and stuff like that. Nice but very 'factory'. I switched to the Gimp a while after, and had to do all my effects by hand... so the effects became more 'me' than they had been. ^^
